Port Isaac, Cornwall
Our clients are planning their retirement to this twentieth century house, overlooking the village and harbour at Port Isaac.
Built into the hillside, the house has ample space, but a significant portion lacks natural light. With only one entrance, there is no back door or boot room to cope with arriving home from a muddy dog walk.
The open plan kitchen/dining room features a section of internal wall partly dividing the space and completely obscuring the lovely views, while upstairs too many bedrooms and bathrooms have been squeezed into the space.
An exciting challenge, we have been helping our clients achieve a really clear focus on their priorities for the house. Time spent refining the Client Brief at this early stage is invaluable, before moving into the more detailed drawing and design phases of the project.
